Uni-TWS external cladding makes builder feel warm and fuzzy.

When owner builders, James and Tracey researched their new home construction, they couldn’t go past Uni-TWS® (Thermal Wall System). Uni-TWS, part of the Uni-EIFS™ range, is a high build, high impact insulation cladding system.

James was, “sick of being cold”. Living in Gundaroo, just outside of Canberra, he was “always cold”. Understandable when it often snows in winter and mean temperatures over these months range from below zero to just 12ºC. James found that Uni-TWS had the “best thermal qualities”. The 75 mm thick system has an R-Value of 2.82 (with sisalation). Proven overseas for thirty plus years, the system also gives homeowners on-going energy savings, reducing both heating and cooling costs.

Constructing this dream home of some 34 squares was…“easy. I kept expecting it to be more difficult. The Uni-TWS panels were light and easy to manoeuvre.” With the aid of a heat knife and installation diagrams, James went to work. John Da Silva, Technical Sales Consultant from Unitex® was on-site every week to help keep things on track.

Uni-Cote Hi Fibre™ Render and a Unitex Texture were then applied by renderer Joe Mendonca with a smooth, even finish. Joe has been working with Unitex products for over 15 years and couldn’t be happier. And as for James and Tracey? We hope their home is filled with warmth for years to come.
